Konya 35.000-Person Stadium Mechanical Installation Renovation Project

(Heating & Cooling, Ventilation, Fire, Natural Gas, Automatic Environmental Irrigation)

• Konya City Stadium has been designed with the approach of blending cultural codes with contemporary structure. The exterior of the building is white-green, symbolizing the city football team.

• The planning of the building is based on UEFA criteria. The football field is covered with artificial grass heated from the bottom according to FIFA and UEFA criteria. The upper part of this area is covered with high specification materials that allow the arena to be used for different functions. Tribunes are made of reinforced concrete, roof and facades made of steel.

• In the west tribune made of main carrier concrete, sports dressing rooms, training areas, referee and jury rooms, rooms of various sizes for media and VIP entrances are planned. Technical units and management offices are also in this area. Aesthetic materials that are durable, robust and easy to clean are used on the walls and ceiling. Athletes use this height to reach the playing field. The tribunes have 2 floors and are designed as an arch with 44 steps.

• Audience, media, hall, VIP, athlete and security guards entrances and circulation areas are separated from each other. The stair blocks of the upper and lower stands are separated. For the comfort of the audience, radiant heaters were placed under the roof and a bottom heating system was used to protect the grass in severe weather conditions.
